Social And Search Advertising

Clickable Home Page With Facebook
I thought I’d share with you details of a fun project we’ve been working on at our startup, Clickable. Actually, it’s more than fun, it’s the beginning of a new chapter for us. Today we announced our partnership and integration with Facebook, resulting in the first live advertising solution to integrate both search and social advertising. Clickable makes it simple for marketers to advertise on Facebook by integrating Facebook Ads into Clickable’s self-manage Pro tool and Assist service offerings. The launch begins today, and our new product offerings become available on April 12. (You can sign up click here.)

This is significant for a number of reasons. For one, the majority of online advertising spend goes to search-engine advertising, mainly Google, and then a little Yahoo and Microsoft. Clickable is now enabling marketers to use our platform to simply advertise on social media, one of  the fastest growing online channels, side by side with search advertising, introducing greater comparative ROI tracking, and parity. And we’re beginning with Facebook, the world’s largest online social network, with more than 400 million members worldwide.

Marketers all know the purpose of search advertising: to capture user intent. Social advertising is a different animal. Social advertising has achieved successes in branding and awareness, as well as direct-response goals. We look forward to working with Facebook and experimenting with our advertisers to surface best practices and customer profiles that achieve success. This is an exciting frontier in Internet media and advertising. (See our official post on the Clickable blog.)
