…Audience. I logged back into MySpace — the first time in a couple months — and I was served this advertisement from True, the seemingly promiscuous dating site. The reason it caught my eye was not because of the scantilly-clad model (ok…that was part of it), but because the ad touted that True is the number-one dating site, according to Hitwise, the firm that tracks Web visits and searches. Considering the tremendous reach and frequency of True ads across the MySpace network, Hitwise is probably getting huge exposure with this ad. While the MySpace network doesn’t necessarily represent Hitwise’s core customer base, I do wonder if it will generate any inbound leads from this campaign. The last time I saw a similar Hitwise endorsement was last weekend, when my Corcoran real-estate broker, who’s selling my apartment, gave me a flier touting Corcoran’s stance as the number-one real-estate Web site. (Disclosure: I used to consult for Hitwise; I should ask them about this.)

Hi. Hope you are OK. What’s new?…You said Corcoran’s “selling it.” Teriffic! – Glad it’s sold…or did you mean that they’re continuing to market it?…anyway, nice segue…from skirt to Slope…keep it up.
