Joe Jaffe, Jackie Huba, Pete Blackshaw Debate Consumer-Generated Media (CGM)

I encourage you to download and listen to the latest episode of Across The Sound, the “new marketing podcast,” by Joseph Jaffe, new media pundit. The latest episode – part 1 of 2 – features my esteemed colleague Pete Blackshaw and our friend Jackie Huba, co-author of Creating Customer Evangelists and the blog www.churchofthecustomer.com. They cover some extremely important business and marketing issues, including customer evangelism, consumer empowerment and consumer-generated media (or "consumer-generated content," as Jaffe prefers). Download it through iTunes’ Podcast directory, or right here: http://www.acrossthesound.net/2006/03/ats_25_new_mark.html.

I realize I’m biased – being Pete’s colleague and having a serious personal and professional interest in the topic – but this is one of the best discussions Joseph has ever had on his podcast. Period.

Feedback to Dr. Jaffe: First of all, keep up the great work. The threesome format works very well. Consider inviting live callers – anybody – to participate in the discussion. And be patient with prospective sponsors’ reluctance to sponsor ATS. I have no doubt they’ll eventually come. (You’re steadily earning the the mandate for specific companies to sponsor.) I’m one of ATS’s 527 podcast subscribers, and have listened to you from day one.
