Introducing The Cast Of Dads

The Sony daddy-blogging program was enjoyable (and I’ll post a full recap of the experience soon). The experiment in social-media marketing was a success, if for any reason, because its spirit will live on indefinitely. Why is that? The featured dads have decided to take advantage of their new friendships and start a daddy podcast!

Our new show is called Cast of Dads and it includes C.C. Chapman, Jeffrey Sass, Michael Sheehan, Brad Powell and me. We like to gab about fatherhood, and we collectively represent 13 kids from the youngest of babies to full grown adults. We come from all over the U.S., and have different backgrounds and unique perspectives. We’re all at different stages of fatherhood, and take different approaches to balancing family and work. Still, we resonate around common passions like a deep love for our kids, effective parenting strategies, technology, social media and all things related to the Web.

Episode One (download here) introduces the dads and we cover several hot topics, including:

  • Artificial vs. Real Christmas Trees
  • Holiday decorating
  • Mixed religious household traditions
  • Shopping for Holiday presents
  • What our kids are asking for this year
  • The coolness of Lego

We will  produce these on a regular basis and, until iTunes is set up, you can subscribe to our RSS feed.

Finally, we’re seeking sponsors to support the production. If you have a company, product or service that could benefit from authentic association and promotion with a close group of high-tech dads, you should talk to us.

Let us know what you think!

  1. The five of us were selected over the summer for this special project. They
selected bloggers with a tendency toward technology and fatherhood. The
central “Sony Electronics” corporate program is winding down, thought the
somewhat independent PlayStation team is keeping it alive for a while
    longer.
