Walk With A Dolphin

I was on Captiva Island, Florida last week for a search marketing conference. After the event, I had a couple hours before heading to the airport, so I decided to walk along the beach around the northern tip of the Island. No exaggeration, a dolphin spotted me and swam along for almost two miles — keeping adjacent to me, roughly 30 to 50 feet off the beach. Don’t believe me, here are some pictures (via my Blackberry). An omen?

  1. Not a surprise to me, dolphins are a friendly sort! 🙂 My husband surfs out here in the OC and he sees them all the time, they love to hang out and surf the waves with the surfers. One time, he saw a ring of dolphins some 50-75 feet away from him, and they were around a female giving birth to a baby dolphin! How cool is that?
