Facebook’s Killer App: Birthday Reminders

July 23, 2007 · 8 comments

Today is my birthday, and more people are remembering the occasion this year than ever before in my adult life. Why? Facebook is notifying everyone in my network. It’s interesting that some people are congratulating me via the Facebook network (i.e., throwing food, poking, sending private messages, etc.), while some are using external communications channels (like email, telephone and Skype). Either way, one thing is certain: birthday reminders are the ultimate Facebook application.

Skype is also spreading the word. It has a nice little reminder function.

Does anyone know of a good facebook app that helps you see birthday and schedule messages about them and things of that sort?
