Fred Wilson On Why The NYC Startup Sector Is So Great — Video

We had a packed house last week for Clickable‘s Interesting Cafe, featuring Fred Wilson, managing partner of Union Square Ventures and author of A VC. Fred’s talk was on what makes the NYC startup sector so great. (Clickable is a proud NYC startup, so we were delighted with this topic.) In addition to Fred, we had special appearances and feedback from Hunch co-founder Chris Dixon and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey. Below is a video interview we did with Fred and Chris after the talk. We also posted the full 57 minutes of talk and group discussion here. (You may notice that video quality is better than usual. That’s because I put down my Flip and used an HD Handycam on loan from Sony for the Sony DigiDad Project.)

Interesting Cafe is hosted by the culture team at Clickable. It’s a periodic gathering to share ideas and meet interesting, inspiring people. Our next Cafe features a fireside chat with Caterina Fake, co-founder of Flickr and Hunch. We’ll open up the registration on on the Clickable blog later this week. If you’d like to be added to the event notification list, let me know.
