When she returns home to visit her family they have a difficult time communicating. They use AIM, email, and Skype, all of which use the internet. No phones are necessary which saves money and allows them to communicate throughout the day while at work, home or even using internet based cellphones. With the growth of technology it becomes easier for overall communication. Being from a small town in Vermont and not wanting to run up my cell phone bill i can relate to communicating through email and AIM. The internet isnt going anywhere and not has always been a forum for communication among people from diverse cultures all around the world. We have seen the home telephone come and go (most college students dont use landlines anymore and primarily rely on cellular phones) who knows in the future we might get rid of the cell and just communicate primarilly through the internet. now thats food for thought A few years ago i was in a relationship with a girl from the jersey shore.
