If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know I dabble in video. I post periodic vignettes related to work, the general media and marketing industry, and family. To make my videos more accessible, I installed in this blog’s sidebar a player, appropriately called AttentionMaxTV. It always queues up my latest video, and you can click on the image and hover your mouse to browse through prior videos.
Highlights of AttentionMaxTV include:
- Videos of prestigious guests from our startup’s Interesting Café discussions (like Frank Rose of Wired, Stephen Baker of Businessweek, Oscar-winning inventor Garrett Brown, Ethos Water Founder Peter Thum).
- Tours of our startup’s products.
- Interviews with celebrities (like Perez Hilton pictured above).
- Interviews with smart people in my industry.
- Obligatory videos of family events, like apple picking, haircuts, births and birthday parties.
I rely primarily on my Flip video camera and iMovie editing software. Flip cameras are the easiest to use, they’re tiny, inexpensive, and have great quality. Apple’s iMovie software comes standard on all Mac computers. I host most of my work on YouTube because of the service’s reliability, search-engine visibility and zero-cost of hosting for users. With YouTube, it’s also easy to syndicate content to numerous places on the Web, and let others share it as well. For example, most of my work-related videos run within our company’s online community.
Have an interesting story? I’d love to interview you for AttentionMaxTV.
