Seeking An SEM Hotshot

November 19th, 2007  |

I’m beginning my second week at Clickable, and so far it’s been an exciting ride. I’m plunging in deep and broad to master our own business and the larger search advertising category, while refining critical milestones for the next 90 days.

Among my highest priorities is recruiting an SEM hotshot to work with me as Director of Customer Acquisition. This is a great opportunity for an advanced SEM guru to join a passionate team and help build one of the most exciting online-advertising startups. This person will be my partner in crime, and will be charged with three critical objectives:

  1. Rapidly build Clickable’s customer base.
  2. Inform ongoing SEM product development as a Clickable internal power user.
  3. Cultivate best SEM practices throughout the Clickable organization.

I need to have our Director of Customer Acquisition in the driver’s seat by the end of January 2008. If you know anyone who’s an A+++ candidate for this dynamic role, please connect me [maxkalehoff (at) gmail (dot) com]. I’m posting this position at all the usual job boards, but the best candidates tend to come through my personal network — and if you’re reading this post, that includes you! Below is the full job description.

The role requires advanced SEM experience, strong knowledge of interactive and Web marketing, commitment to ROI, training and advocacy, and the ability to identify product needs and requirements. The position is based in New York City.

  • Master Clickable’s own SEM service to generate meaningful, actionable product feedback that informs product features, performance, experience and customer satisfaction.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including extremely strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High energy and ability to work well in a team, to shine as an individual and to maintain a sense of humor.
