I Was Nailed By Techmeme

June 16, 2007 · View Comments ·

My MediaPost column on Facebook was the lead story on Techmeme, the software agent which surfaces links in real time to identify early tech stories — rather, a self-fulfilling prophecy, but interesting and influential, nonetheless. “Coverage is driven by a mix of industry insiders, passionate independents, and established journalists.” It’s an interesting case in how content is discovered, chosen and widely dispersed, especially considering my column was a late-night regurgitation of an earlier blog post which went virtually unnoticed, except among a small group of passionate AttentionMax readers. Those are the people I really care about and whom my writing is most intended for.

After reading a few of posts it strikes me that there seems to be an excessive amount of I’s, Me’s, My’s, & Mine’s. Is ego dominating content?

Bartz, to answer your question, ego probably is dominating content in my blog because it’s just that: my own personal diary. Thanks.
