Hey Max, great post, particularly the top-10 list of criteria. I think we’re on the same page and that agencies are what they do. The crap half measures currently underway to get ‘you’ to build the ad for them are a paternal pat on the head to folks who deserve more respect.

Thank you for this list of 10. Really hit the nail on the head and we are using as a code to rethink the day-to-day.

Point one speaks to aiming to work on higher plain, by developing brand visions based on common human truths that help improve the world in some way. Brands, corporations and agencies can make a difference.

In this new world it is ever more important to demonstrate simple human characteristics when trying to engage people, e.g demonstrating politeness, modesty, getting the right balance between listening and talking, having a purpose outside of just flogging products and not trying to pull wool over peoples eyes.
