Pete Blackshaw and I hosted last week a Nielsen BuzzMetrics Webinar on Engagement — the evolving, controversial media/marketing metric. Thanks to all the participants, who hailed from brands, agencies, as well as academia. With advertisers crying for help amidst a broken, eroding media-marketing model, we tried to demonstrate the role of CGM in the Engagement equation. For one thing, we believe CGM is one of the ultimate proxies of consumer attention, and therefore a major factor to consider, among others.
