Clinging To Dead Trees

March 27, 2006 · View Comments

I’m a b2b marketer in the market-research industry. Therefore, I’m happy to have access to vendor directories compiled by the likes of the Marketing Research Assocation. However, I think the 10-pound dead-tree format – like the MRA sent me last week – is completely out of date. The MRA should stop printing these monsters and use the savings to create a more attractive site with more effective search functionality. As for the hardcopy pictured above, it’s going straight into the recycling bin – I just don’t have room. And there’s no way I’m lugging it to my new downtown office next week. This is 2006, not 1986.
